What is Ravfuran 5G?
Ravfuran 5G is an insecticide & nematicide that belongs to carbamate group. It is one of the most widely used pesticide and used to control wide range of crops including rice, corn, potatoes, soybean etc. It contains 5gm of active ingredient carbofuran per 100 gm of product.
Mode of Action:
Ravfuran 5G is a systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action. It is an acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist—it prevents nerve transmission by binding receptors in the insect’s nervous system.
Why use Ravfuran 5G?
- Ravfuran 5G is easy to apply in the field. Farmers can sprinkle this pesticide by hand with hand gloves.
- Soil application of Ravfuran 5G is also effective and due to systemic activity insecticide reaches the branches and leaves via root. Thus, the invader insects die when they attack plants.
- Up until now, no insect has developed resistance against Ravfuran 5G, so it is a favorable choice for the farmer to save their crops from various insects.
